| The Latin Show heats up San Jose for one night only |

San Jose, CA — Latin dance enthusiasts and theatergoers are in for an electrifying evening when local show producer Adrian Flores presents The Latin Show, an electric production of high energy performances by the premier Latin dance and musical talent of the Bay Area and stars of international dance circuits. Over 80 Latin performers will take the stage at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts, one night only, Saturday, June 3, 2006, 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in this celebration of Latin Dance. After the performance the audience is invited onstage to dance to live music. Adrian Flores Presents, The Latin Show. Proceeds from the show will continue to fund “Building Respect through Dance” created and managed by Adrian Flores. This dance program is currently in place at Andrew P. Hill High School in San Jose. “Building Respect through Dance,” a multi-faceted program brings ballroom dance to the classroom to promote physical, emotional and social health and well being, and to encourage and support healthy productive relationship defined by respect, cooperation and tolerance among all people. Cast of The Latin Show – A complete Flamenco Dance Troop, dancers, singers and Spanish Guitars. The Spanish section will be followed by Mariachi Colima and Carlos Moreno Folklorico Mexicano, followed then by International Latin Ballroom Dance Champions, Silke and Tytus doing the sensuous Rumba. Brazil is known for Carnival and Beautiful women in feathers and we have World Champion, Maisa Duke dancing with Energiadosamba Dance troop with Brazilian Drummers, then International Latin Ballroom Samba. The Tango section is exquisite with Christy Cote and her dance troop plus Argentine Dancers, Daniel and Iisha with the Band Tango #9. The Salsa section is orchestrated by Ciro Martinez a well know choreographer and dancer, his dancers have traveled all over the world and they are called Salsa Evolution. The Salsa section will be graced with Venezuelan singer, Rennea Couttenye and her Salsa Band. The show will end with the exciting International Ballroom Paso Doble. Trained in Latin, Rhythm, and Smooth dance, Mr. Flores is a studied artist and dynamic speaker- one who can share the history of ballroom dance and the importance of the art form in our culture with as much clarity and passion as he does his love of dance. His mission is to spread the joy of ballroom dance- by talking, teaching, and producing shows for all audiences- and to extend ballroom’s reach to those who enjoy taking to the floor themselves, and those who enjoy the simple pleasure of watching a magical performance. |
